Colors became more bolder and brighter as the end of 2017 approached. Pantone chose a "purple" color called Ultra Violet for the color of the new year - 2018. In my opinion, this color is nice when used as an accent color or focal point to work your design to match and bring your room colors together. Here are some examples below:
